Ringer for Honor 9A

The Ringer — or loud speaker — in your Honor 9A is the primary speaker driver located at the bottom of the phone that produces all external audio — ringtones, media playback, navigation audio, speakerphone call audio, and notification sounds. The Ear Speaker is a separate, smaller driver at the top of the phone used only for call audio when holding the phone to your ear. Both are independent components and one can fail without affecting the other on your Honor 9A.

If cleaning the speaker grille with compressed air does not restore clear, full-volume audio — and if the audio is consistently distorted, crackling, or absent across all media and ringtones at all volume levels — the speaker driver membrane inside the Ringer module has failed on your Honor 9A.
