Xiaomi Redmi Note Front-Facing Camera Replacement

• Ensure the Xiaomi Redmi Note is switched off.
• Insert a plastic opening tool between the charging port and rear case.
• Pry the end of the rear case upwards from the charging port using the inserted tool.

Insert the plastic opening tool into the side seam and run it along the edge of the phone to release the rear casing.

Locate the battery release button at the bottom of the battery.

• Place your finger into the button and lift upwards to release the battery.

Unscrew the 12 x 3.5mm Phillips #00 screws holding the midframe in place.

Insert a plastic opening tool into the seam between the midframe and the bottom frame.

• Run the tool along the seam to loosen the clips.
• Pry up the midframe using the plastic opening tool.

There may be snapping sounds as the midframe clips disconnect — continue carefully.

Once lifted, place a hand underneath to lift the entire midframe out of the frame.

Use tweezers to lift the retaining flap of the ZIF connector to the upright position.

• Use tweezers to pull the ribbon cable out of the ZIF connector.
• Remove the front-facing camera from the motherboard.
