Xiaomi Redmi Note Charging Port Replacement

Ensure the Xiaomi Redmi Note is turned off.

• Locate the charging port on the rear case.
• Insert a plastic opening tool between the charging port and rear case.
• Pry the end of the rear case up from the charging port.

Insert the plastic opening tool into the seam on the side of the phone and run it along the edge to loosen the rear casing.

Locate the battery retention tab at the bottom of the device.

• Place your finger in the tab and gently press upwards to release the battery.

Remove twelve small 3.5mm Phillips #00 screws from the midframe.

Insert plastic opening tool into seam between midframe and bottom frame.

• Run plastic opening tool along seam to pry up midframe.
• Support midframe with hand underneath edge as it lifts out of frame.

Be prepared for snapping sounds as clips disconnect.

Locate the charging port panel at the bottom of the device.

• Remove the two 2.9mm Phillips #00 screws from the sides of the panel.

Locate the antenna cable at the top right corner of the charging port.

• Use a pair of tweezers to lift the antenna cable off of the panel.

Do not lift the panel completely off the phone yet.

• Flip the panel over and secure it in place.
• Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the press fit connector.

Lift charging port upwards to dislodge it from its mounting.
