Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S Rear Glass Replacement

  • This repair guide is for replacing the damaged rear glass of your Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S.
  • When reassembling, you will require replacement adhesive to secure components in place.

Step 1 | Heat the rear glass

Step 1 image

Prepare an iOpener by applying it to the back cover for at least two minutes.

  • The adhesive underneath should begin to loosen.

Avoid overheating, as this can damage the display and internal battery.

  • Alternative methods include using a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass as close to the edge as possible.

If the rear glass is cracked, the suction handle may not stick — try lifting it with strong tape or superglue the suction handle in place and allow it to cure before proceeding.

  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.
  • In case you have trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive — follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

Insert an opening pick into the created gap.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive
