Redmi Note 9 Pro - Reboots, Power On flex Replacement
- Disassembly Steps:
- Remove the side panel using a screwdriver.
- Disconnect the battery connector.
Risk of electric shock when handling internal components.
- Restarting Problem Fix:
- Identify and replace the faulty power supply module.
- Reseat all internal connections, including battery connector and mainboard connectors.
Step 1 | Back cover removal
Heat the device to loosen the adhesive.
- Apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol with a soft-bristled brush.
- Use a plastic spudger to gently pry off the back cover.
Step 2 | Motherboard plastic cover removal.
Remove the Phillips screws securing the motherboard cover.
- Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry off the cover.
Step 3 | Motherboard removal - part 1
- Lift the flex connector to release the battery connection.
- Remove both main cameras.
- Extract the SIM tray.
Step 4 | Motherboard removal - part 2
Locate and disconnect the following flex cables:
- Fingerprint sensor flex cable
- Screen flex cable
- Main flex cable
- Coaxial antenna cable
Make sure all flex cables are disconnected before proceeding.
Remove the Phillips screws securing the motherboard to the middle frame.
- Remove the motherboard.
Step 5 | Power on and volume buttons flex cable removal.
Remove the Fingerprint sensor.
- Take out the volume button plastic cap.
- Apply isopropyl alcohol to assist in removing the glued down flex cable.
Step 6 | Power on and volume buttons flex cable removal
Insert one or more playing cards between the flex cable and its connection point.
- Pry gently with the cards to release the cable from its socket.
