Ensure you have spare adhesives for the rear glass and fingerprint reader before proceeding.
Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the rear glass for at least two minutes.
Be cautious of overheating as the display and internal battery can be damaged by excessive heat.
Secure a suction handle to the rear glass's bottom edge, as close as possible.
In case of trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to soften adhesive further (follow iOpener instructions to avoid overheating).
Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge.
Reheat hardened adhesive with the iOpener for 1-2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick under the top left corner.
Do not remove the rear glass completely yet.
Be cautious when handling the fingerprint cable to avoid damaging it.
Fold the rear glass to the right, mimicking the motion of opening a book's back cover.
Disconnect the fingerprint reader using a spudger, prying the connector straight up from its socket.
Apply a iOpener to the fingerprint reader on the rear glass assembly for at least one minute to loosen the adhesive.
Be careful not to damage the fingerprint reader or surrounding components with excessive heat.
Slide an opening pick underneath the fingerprint reader.
Risk of damage if fingerprint reader is not properly removed.
