Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Rear Glass Replacement

Double-check your replacement parts, including the rear glass and a compatible fingerprint sensor, before proceeding.

  • Rear Glass removal requires this guide.
  • Depending on the new part, transfer the fingerprint sensor from old to new.

Step 1 | Loosen the rear glass adhesive

Step 1 image

Apply a iOpener to the rear glass and heat it for at least 2 minutes.

  • The iOpener should be applied to loosen the adhesive underneath.

Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close to the edge as possible.

If your rear glass is badly cracked, consider covering it with clear packing tape for better suction cup adhesion.

  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle to create a small gap between the glass and frame.
  • In case of trouble, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive. Follow iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

Insert an opening pick into the gap, then slide it to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the bottom edge adhesive
