Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Fingerprint Sensor Replacement

This guide will walk you through removing the fingerprint sensor from your Redmi Note 7.

Replacement adhesive is required for secure reassembly of all removed components.

Step 1 | Loosen the rear glass adhesive

Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close to the edge as possible.

If your rear glass is badly cracked, covering it with clear packing tape may improve suction cup adhesion.

  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle to create a small gap between the glass and frame.
  • Apply more heat if needed to further soften the adhesive; follow iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

Insert an opening pick into the gap, then slide it to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the bottom edge adhesive
