Replacement of the motherboard of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Motherboard Replacement

Switch off your device.

• Preheat a heat source to approximately 195° F (90°C).

Use a credit card or similar tool to lift the back cover.

• Create a gap of about 1-2 mm between the glass and the frame.
• Insert an opening pick into the gap.

Insert an opening pick at the lower left corner of the device.

• Slide the opening pick along the side, cutting the adhesive.
• Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing.

Careful not to damage the flex cable when lifting the cover.

• Lift the cover open like a book.
• Maintain control of the flex cable while connected.

Remove the bracket by unscrewing 4 screws using a 1.5mm screwdriver.

Avoid a possible short circuit by disconnecting all connectors.

• Remove the inter-board cable.
• Disconnect any remaining connectors.

• Use a screwdriver (1.5 mm) to remove the 7 screws.
• Take off the cover.

Locate the fingerprint sensor connector.

• Pry up on the connector with a sparse pry tool.
• Remove the fingerprint sensor cable.

Remove the front-facing camera assembly.

• Disconnect the camera connector from the PCB
• Release any retaining clips or screws that secure the camera in place.

Disconnect all PCB connectors.

Remove the PCB by pulling it out.
