Avoid pressing down on the battery.

  • Use tweezers or your fingers to grab the first pull-tab and slowly pull it away from the battery, maintaining a low angle to avoid snagging.
  • Pull with even tension, giving time for the strip to stretch and unstick without forcing it.

Repeat the previous pull-tab removal procedure on the second pull-tab.

  • Follow the same steps as before: keep the strip flat and unwrinkled, and pull at a low angle.
  • If adhesive breaks off underneath the battery, apply 2-3 drops of high concentration (over 90%) isopropyl alcohol under the edge of the battery in the affected area.

Wait one minute for the solution to weaken the adhesive before proceeding.

  • Gently lift the battery using the flat end of a spudger.
