Use a spudger to pry open the plastic assembly cover located at the bottom of the device.
Locate the right-hand corner of the assembly and insert the flat end of a spudger.

Use your fingers to carefully lift out the assembly.
Peel back the barcode sticker away from the battery.
Disconnect all marked ribbon cables using a spudger.
Remove the eight motherboard screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Remove the small metal piece from the top of the motherboard using tweezers.
Insert an opening tool under the plastic assembly.
Insert the flat end of a spudger under the motherboard, prying upwards gently.
Using fingers, carefully lift and remove the motherboard.
