Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Disassembly Guide

Locate the sim card tray on the right-hand side of the phone.

• Pry open the tray using a metal needle SIM tool.
• Gently pull out the tray to access the internal compartment.

Place your thumb between the back panel and the front of the phone, then carefully pry them apart by tracing the edges.

Use a plastic spudger to carefully pry the battery connector away from the motherboard.

• Pry the connector's ends from both sides of the phone, being gentle to avoid damage.

Do not pull on the battery terminals — risk of damage.

• Pull the black tab located at the top left of the battery.
• This will disconnect the battery from the system.

Be cautious, as some batteries are securely bonded with strong adhesive.

• Use tweezers or fingers to carefully lift the battery from its mounting point.
• Remove as much of the adhesive as necessary for safe removal.

Remove the screwdriver and unscrew all 5 edge screws surrounding the speaker.

• The speaker is located at the bottom back of the phone.

Use tweezers to remove the loudspeaker cover.

• Expose the daughterboard after removing the cover.

Avoid touching the heat shield, as it may be hot after charging the phone.

• Remove two gold tabs on top corners of the daughterboard.
• Pry open the daughterboard using tweezers, or gently pull it out by hand.

Make sure to remove all four screws at the top of the motherboard.

• Unscrew the screws using a screwdriver, taking note that one may be hidden under a sticker.
• Remove the sticker before proceeding with removal of the top cover.
• Pull up the top cover carefully after all screws are removed to avoid damaging the motherboard.

Remove the rubber cover from around the camera.

Hold the front camera by a corner when handling, avoiding the center.

• Pull out the tab securing the camera protector.

• Remove the front camera using tweezers or your fingers.

Disconnect all motherboard connectors, five in total, using tweezers or your fingertips.

Remove the screws located at the bottom of the device.

• There are four screws in total that need to be removed.
• This will help loosen the motherboard for further access.
