The daughterboard is a small circuit board connecting to the motherboard, enabling communication between components such as the USB-C charging port dock board, auxiliary port, microphone, SIM card reader, and fingerprint recognition. This guide will remove the daughterboard from your device.
Ensure the device is powered down.
Insert suction handle onto back panel.
Remove seven 5.2 mm black motherboard cover screws using a JIS #000 screwdriver.
One screw might be covered by a red warranty sticker.
Remove eight 5.3 mm black ringer-cover screws using a JIS #000 screwdriver.
Use a JIS #000 screwdriver for both 5.3 mm and 4.5 mm screws to avoid stripping the heads.
Lift the two press connectors above the battery using an opening tool.
Remove the battery.
Disconnect the press connectors. Lift them upwards.
Unclip the metal head of the black wire.
Use the reverse tweezers to lift out the fingerprint reader.
Remove the SIM card reader by pulling it upwards.
Remove the USB-C charging port dock board by lifting it up.
