Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G Battery Replacement

For removing the battery from your Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G (Models 23090RA98C, 23090RA98G, 23090RA98I), you will need an iOpener to melt the adhesive holding the back panel.

Disconnect your device from all power sources before disassembling. If not a professional, do not attempt battery replacement yourself due to safety risks.

Step 1 | Back Panel

Ensure the device is turned off to prevent data loss or damage.

  • Use a SIM card eject tool to remove the SIM card tray.

Heat the iOpener until warm.

  • Place the heated iOpener along each edge of the phone to melt the adhesive under the back panel.

Place suction handle on back panel.

  • Lift suction handle while inserting opening tool into gap created by pulling.
  • Widen space between back panel and phone until it is wide enough to insert at least two opening picks.

Drag opening picks along back panel borders.

  • The back panel should pop out.
  • Remove it.

  • Remove seven 5.2 mm black motherboard cover screws using a JIS #000 screwdriver.
  • Remove three 4.4 mm grey motherboard-cover screws using a JIS #000 screwdriver.
  • One screw may be covered by a red warranty sticker.

  • Using the picks, remove the motherboard cover with attached black battery strip.
  • Lift up two ribbons holding the battery in place.

Remove the eight 5.3 mm black ringer-cover screws using a JIS #000 screwdriver.

Remove the 4.5 mm grey ringer-screw using a JIS #000 screwdriver.

  • Using the opening tool, carefully remove the ringer-cover.
  • The blue wire attached to it will also be removed.

Be careful when unclipping the metal head of the blue wire to avoid damage.

  • Disconnect the blue wire by unclipping its metal head.

Use an opening tool to lift up two press connectors above the battery.

  • Pull off stickers on both sides of the battery with your fingers.
  • Notice and separate the orange sticker into two parts labelled "A" and "B".
  • Be gentle when pulling on the 'A' label to avoid ripping it, which may require using the opening tool for additional support.

Disconnect the battery.

  • Remove the protective covering from the label by gently pulling the "B" side of the orange sticker.
