Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.
Insert another opening pick at the bottom edge of your phone.
Reheat the iOpener for 1-2 minutes if the adhesive becomes hard to cut.
Insert a third opening pick underneath the top left corner of your phone.
Insert a fifth opening pick under the top right corner.
Remove the rear glass.
After installing, apply strong and steady pressure to your phone for several minutes to ensure a good bond. Using a stack of heavy books can aid in this process.
Do not insert the SIM eject tool into a microphone hole as it may cause minor damage.
Inserting into a microphone hole does not typically cause significant damage, but proceed with caution.
Remove the midframe by unscrewing the 17 x 3.6mm Phillips screws.
Be careful not to damage the SIM card tray or surrounding areas.
Apply gentle but firm pressure to pry open the plastic clips.
Insert an opening pick at the top left corner, then work it along the top edge of the phone to disengage the plastic clips.
Slide a repair pick around the top right corner and along the right edge of the phone to loosen the remaining plastic clips.
Do not attempt to remove the midframe at this stage, as the midframe cable remains connected to the motherboard.
Swing open the midframe to the left, as if opening a book, for clear access to the cable connector.
Disconnect the midframe cable using a spudger, prying the connector straight up from its socket.
Remove the midframe.
Disconnect both battery cables using a spudger. Pry each connector straight up from its socket.
Remove the screw securing the loudspeaker using a Phillips screwdriver.
Slide tweezers under the black coaxial cable, snug against metal connector.
Use tweezers or your fingers to gently pry out the charging board.
Disconnect the display cable by carefully prying the connector straight up with a spudger.
Do not overheat the device when using a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.
Apply a suction handle to the top edge of the screen, as close to the edge as possible.
If your screen is badly cracked, cover it with clear packing tape or use strong tape for better adhesion.

Insert a second opening pick into the gap between the midframe and the screen at the left side of the earpiece speaker cut-out.
Reheat the iOpener for one to two minutes if the adhesive becomes hard to cut.
Insert an opening pick under the bottom right corner of the screen.
Insert the fifth opening pick in the lower left corner.
Do not attempt to remove the display yet — the cable is still threaded through.
