Losing IP rating may compromise water and dust resistance.
Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the rear glass for at least two minutes.
Use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate with caution, as overheating can damage the display and internal battery.
Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close as possible.
If the rear glass is cracked, the suction handle may not stick; try lifting with strong tape or superglue it in place and allow to cure.
Insert an opening pick into the created gap.
Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.
Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.
Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge.
Reapply heat with an iOpener for 1-2 minutes if adhesive is hard to cut.
Insert opening pick into top left corner.
Insert a fifth opening pick under the top right corner.
Do not apply pressure until the back cover is installed.
