Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Charging Board Replacement

Replacing the Charging Board may result in loss of Ingress Protection (IP) rating.

  • Use this guide to replace the Charging Board.
  • You will need replacement adhesive for reattaching the rear glass.

Step 1 | Heat the rear glass

Step 1 image

Apply a iOpener to the rear glass for at least two minutes to loosen adhesive.

  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but exercise caution to avoid overheating the phone.
  • Note: The display and internal battery are prone to heat damage.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close to the edge as possible.

If the rear glass is cracked, the suction handle may not stick; try lifting it with strong tape or superglue the suction handle in place and allow it to cure.

  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.
  • If you're having trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive. Use caution: follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.
  • Insert an opening pick into the created gap.
  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the bottom edge adhesive

Step 3 image

Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge.

  • Slide it to the bottom left to cut the adhesive.
  • Leave both picks in place to keep the adhesive from sealing again.

Step 4 | Slice the left edge adhesive

Adhesive may cool down and become hard to cut, use iOpener for 1-2 minutes to reheat.

  • Insert a third opening pick at bottom left corner of phone.
  • Slide opening pick along left edge to slice adhesive.
  • Leave pick in top left corner to prevent resealing.

  • Insert a fifth opening pick under the top right corner.

Remove the rear glass.

  • Clean the relevant areas with isopropyl alcohol (greater than 90%).
  • Apply new adhesive to cleaned areas as needed.
  • Secure the new back cover using either pre-cut adhesive or double-sided tape.
  • Apply strong, steady pressure for several minutes after installing the back cover — improper adhesion can lead to damage and leakage.

  • Use a stack of heavy books for additional pressing pressure, if needed.

Step 8 | Eject the SIM card tray

  • Insert a SIM card eject tool, SIM eject bit, or straightened paper clip into the hole on the SIM tray at the bottom edge of the phone.
  • Press directly into the hole to eject the SIM card tray.
  • Remove the SIM card tray.

If you insert the tool into a microphone hole, do not worry; damage is unlikely.
