Discharging battery below 25% before disassembly prevents potential danger from thermal events.
You will need replacement adhesive for reassembly.
Never apply excessive heat that could damage the display and internal battery.
Attach a suction handle to the bottom edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.
Insert an opening pick into the bottom right corner and gently pry the adhesive.
Do not remove the opening pick, as this may cause the adhesive to seal again.
Leaving them in place will prevent resealing of the adhesive.
Reheat the adhesive if it becomes hard to cut.
Insert a Y000 opening pick at the top left corner.
Insert a fifth opening pick under the top right corner.
Remove the back cover.
Apply steady pressure to your phone for several minutes after installing the back cover to ensure a good bond.
Remove the camera cover using a Phillips screwdriver.
Insert an opening pick into the gap beneath the bottom edge of the camera cover.
Remove the camera cover using either your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
Insert a SIM card eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone.
Disconnect the power and volume button flex cable using a spudger by prying the connector straight up from its socket.
Locate the SIM tray slot on the left edge of the phone.
Insert the opening pick along the left edge of the phone.
Releasing the midframe clips may require some force.

Slide a credit card or plastic spudger along the right edge of the phone to release the plastic clips.
Slide opening pick along top edge of phone.
This may require some force, but avoid applying too much pressure to prevent damage.
Ensure the power and volume button flex cable is untangled from the motherboard.
Disconnect the battery flex cable using a spudger, prying the connector straight up from its socket.
A punctured battery risks leakage and fire.
Grasp the first pull-tab with a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
If the adhesive cannot be retrieved, proceed to the next step.
Repeat the previous pull-tab removal procedure on the second pull-tab.
Wait about one minute for the alcohol solution to weaken the adhesive. Do not try to forcefully lever the battery out.
Never deform or puncture the battery with your pry tool.
Remove the battery.
If using pre-cut adhesive or double-sided tape, apply it into the device where the old adhesive was located, not directly onto the battery.
Temporarily reconnect the battery to the motherboard before seating it, then disconnect after it's securely in place.
