Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Screen Replacement

Ensure new screen mounts correctly by replacing damaged frame if deformed.

  • Discharge battery below 25% before disassembling.

Failure to discharge can result in fire or explosion from accidental puncture.

Verify correct replacement screen and adhesives before proceeding.

  • This guide assumes original frame and motherboard remain intact.
  • Some replacement screens come pre-installed in a new frame, requiring a different procedure.

Secure new set of replacement adhesives for back panel and screen before starting.

Insert a SIM eject tool, SIM eject bit, or straightened paper clip into the hole on the SIM tray located at the left edge of the phone.

  • Press directly into the hole to eject the SIM card tray.
  • Remove the SIM card tray.

Step 2 | Heat the rear glass

Step 2 image

Be cautious of overheating when using a heat source.

  • Apply an iOpener to the rear glass for at least two minutes to loosen adhesive.
  • Alternative methods include using a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.
  • Avoid overheating, as this can damage the and internal battery.

Step 3 | Secure a suction handle

Step 3 image

Thumbnail 2

A cracked rear glass may prevent the suction handle from sticking.

  • Apply strong tape to the suction handle for extra grip, or use superglue to secure it in place and allow it to cure.
  • To improve suction handle adhesion, apply tape to the rear glass surface or moisten the suction handle itself.
  • Attach a suction handle to the right edge of the rear glass as close to the edge as possible.

Step 4 | Create a gap

Step 4 image
Thumbnail 1
Thumbnail 2

Use the suction handle to lift the rear glass and create a small gap between it and the frame.

If a gap cannot be created, apply more heat while following the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • Insert an opening pick into the created gap.

Step 5 | Slice the adhesive

Step 5 image

Insert a sixth opening pick at the left edge, next to the top end of the power and volume button cut out.

  • Slice the remaining adhesive on the left edge with the opening pick.
  • Slide the pick around the top left corner and along the top edge to cut more adhesive.

Step 10 | Remove the rear glass

Remove the rear glass.

  • Clean the relevant areas with isopropyl alcohol (>90%).
  • Apply new adhesive where necessary.

Incorrect installation may result in a weak bond and damage to your phone.

  • Secure the new rear glass with pre-cut adhesive or double-sided tape.
  • Apply strong, steady pressure to your phone for several minutes after installing the rear glass.

A stack of heavy books can be used to apply additional pressure.

Warming up the screen makes it easier to remove.

  • Apply a suction cup to the left edge of the phone, or cover cracked areas with clear packing tape for better adhesion.
  • Alternatively, use very strong tape instead of a suction cup or superglue it directly to the screen if necessary.
  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a small gap between the screen and midframe.
  • Insert an opening pick into the gap between midframe and screen.
