This repair requires a new adhesive for reassembly.
Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the back cover for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive underneath.
Be careful not to overheat the phone as the display and internal battery are susceptible to heat damage.
Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.
If the back cover is cracked, the suction handle may not stick. To secure it:
Lift the back cover with the suction handle, creating a small gap between the cover and frame.
Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.
Do not remove the opening picks while repairing — risk of resealed adhesive.
If the adhesive becomes hard to cut, it may have cooled down.
Insert opening pick at top left corner.
Apply strong, steady pressure to your phone for several minutes after installing the rear glass to ensure a good bond.
