This tutorial guides you through disassembling a Xiaomi Redmi Go smartphone for screen, battery, or other component replacement (vibrator, speaker, earpiece, volume on/off buttons, motherboard, charger module).
Acquire an opening pick or strong fingernail to create a gap between the case and screen.
Use contact glue (liquid neoprene) to reattach removed parts, such as the vibrator, Power/Volume button cable, charger cable, and battery.
Remove SIM and SD card holders first.
This operation carries a significant risk of damaging the screen; proceed with caution.
Avoid using a knife to separate the glass from the screen; it can cause serious damage.
The rear case is made of plastic and will withstand required manipulations without warping.
Remove all screws from the loudspeaker at the bottom of the phone.
Risk of damaging the coax cable or other components due to improper handling.
Twisting the plastic cover may cause damage.
To avoid damaging the plastic cover, carefully unclip it using a small screwdriver on one of the screen's corners.
Be careful not to touch the capacitor terminals — risk of electric shock.
If a replacement frame does not include a charging cable, do not damage the old one when removing it.
Careful disconnection is required for all cables and connectors.
Remove adhesive under vibrator's circuit using a sharp blade.
Careful not to damage the circuit.
To apply neoprene glue:
Once glue is no longer liquid but still sticky, press motor into final position. Bond will be solid after a few hours.
The earpiece speaker must be removed with a small flat screwdriver.
The copper blades' contact points are oriented downwards; be cautious not to mix them up.
Deform or damage to the flex cable can prevent proper reinstallation.
Be careful when handling the touch screen flex connector — risk of damage.
Position the motherboard on the new screen, ensuring the headphone jack and front camera are correctly seated in their respective slots. Install the rubber seal for the rear camera.
The connection between components is critical to proper functioning — ensure all connections are secure.
To secure cables, press gently in the center of the connector with a flat object (like your finger) until you feel a "click".
Remove the blue stickers from the new screen.
Apply a thin line of neoprene glue along the charger cable path on the screen frame.
Ensure the black coax antenna cable is correctly seated in its channel connecting the charger module to the motherboard.
Apply 2 dots of contact adhesive (neoprene) to the chassis at the base of the battery.
Be careful not to apply too much glue, as this may make future battery replacement more difficult.
Wait a few minutes for the adhesive to set before proceeding.
Position the loudspeaker module and install its 6 screws.
Double-check on the right that the black coax antenna cable is correctly positioned in its groove to avoid connectivity issues.
Perform thorough quality control before final assembly.
During testing, ensure the phone is fully charged or has sufficient power to avoid false results.
Properly calibrate any test applications before using them for quality control.
You have successfully completed thorough testing. Proceed to final assembly.
Check that the rear camera rubber surround is securely in place.
Careful not to damage any components — risk of electrical shock.
Reattach the rear case starting at the bottom and working upwards in a symmetrical pattern on both left and right sides.
Reinsert the SIM card and SD memory card.
Note that the circuit contacts face towards the back of the phone.
