This guide will help you safely remove the PCB circuit board from your Xiaomi Redmi 2 for any necessary repairs or replacements.
Remove the back panel with the flat end of a spudger.
Remove any SIM card(s) and/or memory cards.
Insert the spudger between the mid-frame and front body, gently prying them apart by sliding it around the phone's edge.
Remove the 3.4 mm Phillips #000 screw holding the motherboard to the front body.
Use one tweezers prong to gently pry back the brown clip covering the LCD ribbon connector.
Use a prong of the tweezers to carefully pry the ribbon clip loose from the motherboard.
Lift the motherboard by its edges using your fingertips, allowing it to hinge freely.
Lift the metal clip using one prong of the tweezers.
Use the tweezers to carefully remove the antenna connector from the motherboard.
Remove the motherboard from the front cover and place it to one side.
Remove the 2.9 mm Phillips #000 screw securing the PCB circuit board to the screen assembly.
Use tweezers to carefully lift the antenna connector off the PCB circuit board.
Leave the PCB circuit board attached.
Use a nylon or metal spudger to pry back the silver clip covering the ribbon connector.
Remove the PCB circuit board from the screen assembly and place it aside.
Take care not to damage either component during removal.
