Xiaomi Mi Note Rear camera Replacement

This repair guide is for replacing the rear-facing camera on your Xiaomi Mi Note.

Step 1 | Battery

Securely attach a suction cup to the phone's back.

  • Pull the suction cup firmly but with control until the back plate comes loose.

Locate and remove the screws marked in the image, then pull off the frame with ease.

  • Remove six 3.5mm Phillips #000 black screws.
  • Remove seven 2.5mm Phillips #000 black screws.
  • Remove five 2mm Phillips #000 silver screws.

Use a nylon spudger to carefully pry upwards and disconnect the ribbon cable linking the battery to the motherboard.

Slide a nylon or metal spudger under the battery, working your way around its edges.

Be careful of glue adhering the battery to the frame on one side.

  • The battery should now lift out easily once loosened.
  • Continue with caution when handling the battery due to potential adhesion.

Step 5 | Rear camera

Remove the ribbon from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

Use tweezers to detach the small ribbon on the left side of the device, near the volume buttons.

  • Apply minimal force to avoid damaging the ribbon.
  • Detach the microphone cord located on the right side along the frame using tweezers.

Remove the motherboard using a tweezer.

  • Ensure the Dual SIM card and tray is already removed.

Step 8

Hold the ribbon with tweezers and gently slide it to the right, following the orientation shown in the provided image.
