• Place the suction cup on the back of the phone and ensure a firm grip.
• Pull back with moderate force to release the back plate.

Locate and remove the marked screws.

• Remove six 3.5mm Phillips #000 black screws using a suitable tool.
• Next, remove seven 2.5mm Phillips #000 black screws.
• Finally, remove five 2mm Phillips #000 silver screws.

Insert the nylon spudger between the ribbon and the motherboard, then gently pry upwards.

• The ribbon should now be detached from its connector on the motherboard.

Insert a nylon or metal spudger underneath the battery at any point.

• Slide the spudger around all edges to loosen it.

The backside of the battery may be held down by glue.

Use tweezers to gently lift and disconnect the microphone wire from the dock connector.

• The wire is connected to the motherboard, so be careful not to damage it.
• Pull upwards on the wire using the tweezers until it comes loose.

Peel back the adhesive tape on the metal surface.

Remove dock connector from frame using minimal force.

• Pry upwards gently at indicated locations using tweezers.
• Work around edges to loosen connector, then lift out of frame.
