Xiaomi Mi A2 Battery Replacement

Swollen batteries can be hazardous; exercise caution when handling them.

  • Verify that the phone is not simply dead: attempt power-on first.
  • If your Xiaomi Mi A2 won't turn on, follow troubleshooting steps before considering a new battery.

Do not heat the phone when handling a swollen battery.

  • Use isopropyl alcohol (90+%) to weaken adhesive: inject around back cover edges with a dropper or syringe, if needed.

Wear eye protection and exercise caution when working with a swollen battery; consider professional help if unsure.

For optimal performance:

  • Calibrate new batteries: charge to 100%, keep charging for 2 hours, use until shutdown due to low power, then charge uninterrupted to 100%.
