This repair guide is for replacing a broken rear glass panel on the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. Ensure you have replacement adhesive before starting, as it's necessary for reattaching parts during reassembly.
Use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate with caution to prevent overheating, which can damage the display or internal battery.
Attach a suction handle near the rear glass's edge, as close as possible.
Be cautious not to overheat, following iOpener instructions.
Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.
Insert the second opening pick along the bottom edge.
Reheat the iOpener for one to two minutes if the adhesive is hard to cut.
Insert a fifth opening pick at the top right corner.
Do not attempt to remove the rear glass completely yet, as it may be stuck to the phone assembly due to adhesive around the camera area.
Insert a plastic card or similar tool at the right edge, near the rear camera.
Be cautious when separating components.
Remove the rear glass.
Allow phone to sit under heavy pressure, such as a stack of books, for several minutes after installation.
