This is a repair guide for replacing the loudspeaker on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro.

  • You will need replacement adhesive for reassembly.

Step 1 | Heat the rear glass

Step 1 image

Never apply excessive heat to avoid damaging the display and internal battery.

  • Apply a preheated iOpener to the rear glass for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate – but be cautious not to overheat the phone.

Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the rear glass, as close to the edge as possible.

If the rear glass is cracked, use strong tape or superglue to secure the suction handle in place and allow it to cure.

  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.
  • Apply more heat if necessary to soften the adhesive, but follow iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

Insert an opening pick into the gap you created.

  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive
