  • Remove loudspeaker unit for easier battery replacement.
  • Reassemble with replacement adhesive to secure components.

Step 1 | Rear Glass

Switch off your phone.

  • Apply a iOpener to the rear glass and heat it until it's warm and pliable.

Secure a suction handle to the lower edge of the rear glass.

  • If the phone's rear glass is cracked, use strong tape or superglue to ensure it sticks.
  • Lift the rear glass with the suction handle, creating a gap between the glass and frame.

Insert an opening pick into the gap.

If trouble persists, apply more heat according to iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner of the phone.

Insert a third opening pick at the bottom left corner.

  • Slide the pick along the side of the device, cutting the adhesive.
  • Be careful around the rear cameras and only insert the tip of the opening pick.

  • If necessary, use your iOpener to reheat the adhesive as it cools and becomes harder to cut.
  • Leave the opening pick in the top left corner to prevent the adhesive from resealing.
