Ensure you have a replacement adhesive set before proceeding, as proper reassembly requires secure component attachment.
Apply a iOpener to the rear glass and heat it.
Secure a suction handle to the lower edge of the rear glass as close to the edge as possible.
Insert an opening pick into the gap.
If the glass does not budge, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive, following iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.
Insert a second opening pick and slide it to the bottom left corner, cutting the adhesive.
Insert a third opening pick at the bottom left corner.
Be careful not to cut the fingerprint flex cable when using the tip of the opening pick.
Insert a fourth opening pick under the top left corner of the rear glass.
Insert a 5th opening pick at the top right corner.
Do not remove rear glass completely yet, as the fingerprint flex cable remains connected to the motherboard.
Careful not to damage the rear glass.
Use a spudger to disconnect the fingerprint flex cable.
Remove the rear glass with care.
