Be prepared for a moderately complex repair.
Ensure the device is powered down.
Use a flat metal spudger and curved metal spudger to create a wedge between the back cover and inner frame.
Remove the 10 1.2mm Phillips head screws from the plastic frame using a 000 Phillips head screwdriver.
Be careful when prying off the inner frame to avoid damaging it.
Disconnect the battery connectors using tweezers.
Use the plastic opening tool to carefully pry the battery from its casing.
Locate the left-hand cable connected to the motherboard.
Careful not to damage the wires or motherboard connector.
Next, find the top right-hand cable connecting the motherboard to the device.
Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap between the motherboard and the internal components.
Turn the motherboard over to access the underside.
Use tweezers to grasp the cable, then gently pull it upwards and away from the motherboard.
