Charged batteries are prone to catching fire if damaged during repair.

  • Allow your phone's battery to fully drain before proceeding with repairs.

Unplug all cables and shut down the device completely.

  • Apply an iOpener to the rear glass for two minutes to loosen adhesive.
  • Alternatively, use a heat source like a hair dryer or heat gun, but avoid overheating the phone.

Be cautious of heat damage to the display and internal battery.

Apply significant force; strong adhesive requires substantial effort.

  • Reapply heat and retry if initial attempt fails.
  • To aid suction, cover cracked glass with clear packing tape or use superglue to secure suction handle.

Never apply excessive force that may shatter rear glass.

  • Attach suction handle to the center of the bottom edge of rear glass.
  • Pull up with steady, strong force to create a gap between rear glass and frame.
  • Insert opening pick at charging port location.

Step 3 | Slice the bottom edge adhesive

Remove the rear glass.

  • If still attached, use an opening pick to separate the rear glass from the frame by sliding it around the entire perimeter.

Do not power on your phone until reassembly is complete and all connections are secure — risk of damage due to incorrect installation.

  • Power on and test all functions before sealing the device.
  • Power down completely before continuing work.

Excessive cleaning can cause damage; use high-concentration isopropyl alcohol (>90%) and a lint-free cloth to clean relevant areas only.

  • Secure the rear glass with pre-cut adhesive or double-sided tape after cleaning.

Apply strong, steady pressure for several minutes to aid in adhesive bonding — use a stack of heavy books as an effective weight source.
