Mi 11 Battery Replacement

Before disassembling, ensure battery charge is below 25% to prevent thermal risk.

  • Follow safety precautions if battery is swollen.
  • Take note of replacement adhesive requirements for reassembly.

The motherboard has been deshielded during teardown. Proceed with repairs as instructed, noting the modified appearance of your motherboard.

Step 1 | Heat the rear glass

Step 1 image

Careful not to overheat the phone; display and internal battery can suffer from heat damage.

  • Prepare an iOpener for at least two minutes on the rear glass to loosen adhesive.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate (be cautious of overheating).

Secure a suction handle to the rear glass, near the edge.

If the rear glass is cracked, use strong tape or superglue to secure the suction handle instead.

  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle, creating a small gap between the back cover and frame.
  • Apply more heat if necessary to soften the adhesive (follow iOpener instructions).

Insert an opening pick into the gap.

Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.

Leave the pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive
