Discharging the battery below 25% is essential for your safety; any accidental damage may trigger a hazardous thermal event.
Switch off your phone.
Properly orient the cards in the tray when reinserting them.
Remove the Torx T3 screws located on the bottom edge of your phone.
Insert a opening tool between the screen and back cover at the bottom edge.
Insert the opening tool into the gap between the phone's frame and the back cover.
Insert the opening tool along the left edge of the phone and slide it gently to release the remaining plastic clips.
Do not remove the back cover completely at this stage, as the flex cable for the fingerprint sensor is still connected to the motherboard.
Locate the phone assembly and fold it toward the left side of the back cover, similar to opening a book.
Be careful not to stretch or tension the fingerprint flex cable during this step.
Remove ten Phillips screws, each measuring 3.2 mm long.
Insert an opening pick into the bottom left corner of the motherboard cover.
Remove motherboard cover.
Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up the fingerprint sensor area.
Remove the black protective foil from the battery and logic board using a pair of tweezers.
Use the flat end of a spudger to carefully pry up and release the battery connector.
Use a spudger with the flat end to pry up and disconnect the interconnect flex cable.
Use tweezers or your fingertips to gently remove the orange sticker from the battery.
Grab both ends of the orange sticker.
If it's difficult to remove, the adhesive may be too sticky. Apply a heated iOpener to the screen for at least two minutes or use a heat gun.
Do not attempt to reuse the removed battery as this poses a safety hazard.
Reuse of the old battery is strictly prohibited due to potential safety risks.
The old adhesive tape can be reused if still sticky, but for screen replacement, always use fresh custom-cut adhesive tape.
