Precautions: If battery is swollen, take necessary precautions; discharge below 25% before disassembly to prevent thermal event.
If frame is deformed, it must be replaced to ensure proper mounting of new screen and prevent damage from uneven pressure.
Prepare an iOpener by heating it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the iOpener to the rear glass for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive underneath, taking care not to overheat the phone.
Secure a suction handle to the right edge of the rear glass as close to the edge as possible.
If the rear glass is cracked, the suction handle may not stick — try lifting it with strong tape or superglue in place and allow it to cure before proceeding.
Insert a second opening pick at the top right corner.
Reheat the adhesive for 1-2 minutes with the iOpener.
Insert a fourth opening pick in the bottom left corner of your phone.
Position a new opening pick at the top left corner.
Work the opening pick along the top edge of the rear glass, slicing any remaining adhesive.
Remove the rear glass.
Using a stack of heavy books can aid in forming a good bond between the glass and the adhesive.
Do not separate the motherboard cover from the board completely.
Position your fingers under the motherboard cover and gently lift it upwards.
Remove the graphite foil covering the battery connector.
Locate the SIM card tray on the left bottom edge of the Poco F3.
Press firmly to avoid damaging the tray — risk of bending.
Remove the screws from the loudspeaker using a Phillips screwdriver.
Disconnect the black antenna cable from the motherboard using a spudger.
Insert opening pick into top left corner of loudspeaker.
Remove the loudspeaker using either a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
Compare your new replacement loudspeaker to the original, taking care to transfer any remaining components such as the antenna cable.
Disconnect the screen flex cable from the daughterboard using the flat end of a spudger.
Heat an iOpener and apply it to the screen.
Secure a suction handle to the screen's bottom edge.
If the phone is cracked, try using strong tape or superglue on the suction handle for better adhesion.
Insert a second opening pick into the gap, sliding it down towards the lower left corner.
Do not remove the first pick; leave both in place to prevent adhesive re-sealing.
If slicing becomes too difficult, reheat and reapply the iOpener.
Insert a fourth opening pick at the top right corner.
Insert a fifth opening pick and slide it along the left edge to cut remaining adhesive.
Remove the display by passing the display flex cable through the midframe gap.
Follow this guide for reassembly using a pre-cut adhesive card, if applicable.
