Nexus S SIM Card Replacement

This guide will walk you through replacing the SIM card.

Step 1 | Rear Panel

Insert a plastic opening tool between the rear panel and the inner rear frame, near the rear-facing camera.

  • Pry up the rear case along the perimeter using the plastic opening tool.

Remove the rear panel from the Nexus S.

or
  • Remove the rear panel to access internal components.

Step 3 | Battery

Use the plastic opening tool's edge to gently pry the battery loose from its holder near the headphone jack.

  • Continue lifting until the battery is free, then remove it from the device.

Step 4 | SIM Card

Slide the SIM card down from its SIM card slot using your thumb.

  • Continue sliding until the SIM card is removed.
