Replace the battery using this guide.

Step 1 | Rear Panel

Insert a plastic opening tool between the rear panel and inner rear frame, near the rear-facing camera.

  • Gently pry up the rear case along the perimeter using the plastic opening tool.

Remove the rear panel of the Nexus S.

Step 3 | Battery

Step 3 image

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the battery from the end nearest the headphone jack.

  • Continue prying until the battery is completely free.
  • Remove the battery from the device.
