Remove the back cover to access the battery.

Position your finger in either or both of the depressions near the bottom of the battery.

• Pull the battery outwards to release it.

• Locate and remove the six screws holding the rear case in place.

Use a spudger to carefully pry apart the rear and front cases.

Locate the phone's camera module, which is usually positioned at the top or rear of the device.

• It may be held in place by screws.
• Look for the camera lens and surrounding components.

Peel back the green processing chip using a spudger.

• Expose the wires underneath.
• Locate the thin golden band connecting the camera to the rest of the phone.

Separate the golden band from its resting dock using a spudger.

• The golden band should come apart easily.
• Once separated, slide out the camera.
