Step 1 | Display
Wear eye protection to prevent injury from glass shards.
- Use a hair dryer/heat gun to thoroughly heat the display edges, loosening the adhesive.
- Insert a pry tool between the colored plastic edge and the glass, not between the plastic and aluminum.
- Gradually separate the display from the body with the pry tool.
Step 2
Lift the display gradually along the edges.
- Lift from the botttom to the top to avoid damaging the flat cable and connector.
Step 3
Remove the plastic door.
- Unhook the display connector.
Step 4
Disconnect and remove the old display.
