- Apply gentle heat with a heat gun (or medium heat with a hairdryer) around edges for 1 minute to soften adhesive.
- Keep the heat source moving, about an inch from back glass, and avoid overheating.
- After heating, handle device carefully.
- Work on a stable, non-flammable surface with heat gun.
Step 3
Avoid damaging the screen by not inserting the pick too deeply.
- Opening pick or thin plastic card: gently insert tip into seam between back glass and frame.
- Slide along edges using gentle sawing motion to detach adhesive.
- If resistance occurs, apply more heat before proceeding.
Step 4
Remove the back glass completely, taking care not to damage any surrounding components.
Step 5
Scrape off old adhesive from phone frame using a plastic spudger or soft cloth.
- Use a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol (90%+) for stubborn spots.
- Gently wipe away adhesive with the damp cloth.

Apply gentle pressure by hand using your fingers or stretch a rubber band around the edges to secure.
