Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Display Replacement

  • To replace the screen on your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, start by gathering these essential tools:

Make sure you have the correct replacement part compatible with your device.

Step 1 | Turn off your Phone

Ensure your phone is powered down to prevent accidental shutdowns or damage.

Step 2 | Remove Lower-Cover

Apply heat from the iOpener/Heatgun to the bottom of the device's back cover.

  • Begin heating along the edges, then place a suction cup on the device.
  • When warm enough, insert a pick between the frame and back glass.
  • (Be cautious when handling hot devices.)
  • Using the pick, carefully cut through all adhesive along the frame to release the back cover.

Step 3 | Remove upper Back-Cover

Heat the iOpener/Heatgun and apply it to the upper back cover.

  • Start heating around the edges, taking care not to damage the display.
  • Insert a pick between the frame and back glass when heated.
  • Continue cutting through glue along the frame to remove the back cover.

Avoid cutting too deeply into the glue to prevent damaging the display.

  • Remove the plastic clip holding the secondary display connector in place.
  • Use pliers to unplug the cable.

Step 4 | Disconnect Main Battery & Charging Coil

Remove the cover plate holding the main battery and wireless coil connectors.

  • Be careful not to touch any components — risk of electric shock.

  • Disconnect the main battery and wireless coil connectors from the motherboard.
  • Remove the charging coil.

Step 5 | Disconnect Secondary Battery

Remove the screws securing the cover for motherboard connectors.

  • Disconnect the battery connector.
  • Remove remaining connectors from the motherboard.

Step 6 | Remove Speaker Assembly

Remove the screws from the speaker cover using a screwdriver.

  • Lift the speaker cover gently with a spudger.

Step 7 | Remove Charging Sub-Board

Disconnect the two cables at the top of the charging sub-board.

  • Remove the two remaining screws holding the board in place using a screwdriver.
  • Flip the board over and remove the last connection to the display assembly.

Step 8 | Remove top Cover

Remove five screws securing the top cover.

  • Use a spudger to carefully pry off the top cover.

Step 9 | Remove Logic Board

Unscrew last screw near camera.

  • Remove SIM tray.
  • Lift out logic board with spudger.

Step 10 | Remove Front Camera

Careful, as the camera may be glued in place.

  • Apply heat to the display near the front camera using a suitable tool.
  • Attempt to lift the front camera out with a pair of tweezers.

Step 11 | Remove Batteries

Be careful not to spill isopropyl alcohol on electrical components.

  • Pour isopropyl alcohol between the battery and frame.
  • Wait 30-60 seconds, then use a spudger to lift out the battery.

Repeat this process for the secondary battery.
