Step 1 | Volume is Muted

Mute mode may be causing the issue.

  • Check if the volume is muted.
  • If muted, adjust the volume using the side buttons on your Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro.

Step 2 | Speaker has Water Damage

Water exposure may still cause speaker failure even if your phone appears fine.

  • Pat dry your phone immediately after water exposure, especially if it was under saltwater.
  • Lightly rinse the phone to remove salt residue, as salt is highly corrosive.

Test the speakers by moving the volume up and down before assuming normal function has been restored.

Step 3 | Speaker Software Malfunction

Restarting your phone may resolve audio issues linked to bugs from external sources.

  • Press the volume down button and power button simultaneously for 2 seconds.
  • The device will display a black screen with a "Restart" button; press it.

Step 4 | External device(s) connected

Verify that other devices are not interfering with audio system.

  • Clear phone's headphone jack of all devices.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is turned off.

Turn off Bluetooth by locating the icon in settings menu to avoid unwanted connections.

Attempt to play sound through speaker while interfering devices are disconnected.
