Samsung Galaxy Star Pro Motherboard Replacement

The motherboard is the central control unit of this device, housing all essential components including the operating system and peripherals like camera and audio ports.

  • If either component is faulty, the entire motherboard must be replaced.
  • This guide will walk you through the process of replacing the motherboard at home.

Step 1 | Battery Replacement

Position the phone in your palms, placing one hand on the back for stability.

  • Apply gentle pressure to the back cover.
  • The cover should easily come off

Remove the battery from the phone using a small plastic spudger.

Step 3 | Screen

Ensure all safety precautions are taken before proceeding.

  • Unscrew the five 1.2mm Phillips Screws on the back of the phone using a screw driver.
  • Use the J00 Phillips head screw bit to remove the screws.

Step 4

Careful not to damage the press-fit connector.

  • Flip the phone over after removing screws.
  • Use a plastic opening tool to unclip the screen connector.
  • Release the connector that holds the screen to the motherboard.

Step 5

Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry the screen away from the plastic casing.

  • Start at one edge of the phone and carefully work your way around it.

Step 6 | Motherboard

Remove the 1.2mm PHLIP screw connecting the motherboard.

  • Pop out the internal components with your thumbs.
  • Use the same J00 PHILLIPS HEAD BIT.
