Be cautious not to overheat your phone, as it may cause damage.

  • Switch off your phone before proceeding.
  • Apply an iOpener to a long edge for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive.
  • If necessary, reheat and reapply several times until the adhesive is warm enough to cut.
  • A hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate can be used instead, but follow the instructions carefully.

A cracked rear glass may cause the suction cup to fail; try using strong tape or superglue for better adhesion.

  • Press a suction cup onto the back cover.
  • Lift the bottom edge with your suction cup, creating a small gap between the cover and frame. This may require significant force.
  • If stuck, reapply heat to soften the adhesive and try again, as it cools quickly.

Insert an opening pick in the gap:

  • Slide it to the bottom right corner.
  • Add a second pick and slide it to the bottom left corner.
  • Insert a third pick to prevent resealing during removal.
