Do not attempt to follow this guide without a replacement display specifically designed for your Samsung Galaxy S9 model and compatible with its original frame.
The display's removal process often damages the screen. Proceed only if you're replacing the display and intend to discard it afterwards.
Switch off your phone before starting.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 has very strong adhesive. Be careful not to overheat the phone, as this can damage the AMOLED display or internal battery.
Alternative heat sources include a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.

Avoid cutting in this area to protect the fingerprint sensor flex cable.
If rear glass is cracked, suction cup may not stick.

This may require significant force; apply more heat if necessary.
Apply heat as needed while sliding an opening pick from the bottom right along the side to the top.
The back cover is under tension; if the adhesive isn't softened enough, it may break during removal.

Apply iOpener to the display for at least 2 minutes, reheating and reapplying as needed to loosen adhesive.
Overheating can damage components, so follow iOpener instructions carefully.
Wear safety glasses to protect eyes from flying glass particles during repair.
Apply a suction cup to the upper edge of the phone when the screen is warm.
Insert another opening pick and guide it to the top right corner.
