Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Rear Camera Lens Replacement
Replacing a broken lens may result in lost glass fragments entering the camera if done while assembled.
- Remove and replace just the lens glass for a faster fix, but risk of glass entry.
- Replace the entire lens assembly, which is longer but less likely to damage camera components.
The lens assembly replacement requires removal of the back panel and may necessitate new rear glass adhesive and a camera bezel.
Step 1 | Glass-Only Replacement
Replace only the glass lens for the rear-facing camera.
- Do not replace the entire bezel, proceed to the next step instead.
Step 2 | Bezel and Camera Lens Replacement
- Replace the bezel and camera lens on the rear case.
- You will need new adhesive for reassembly.
Follow proper safety procedures when handling adhesive materials.
Reread and follow the rear cover adhesive installation guide as well as the camera bezel adhesive installation guide before proceeding with reassembly.
