Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Rear Camera Replacement

  • Use a blow dryer to carefully heat the adhesive on the screen until it is completely melted.

  • Insert a metal spudger between the screen and frame to start prying them apart.
  • Using multiple metal spudgers can help loosen the screen from its adhesive on the frame.

  • Slide a metal spudger around the phone, ensuring it reaches all areas.
  • Using a blow dryer may facilitate easier insertion of the metal spudger.

Hold the screen securely in both hands.

  • Lift the screen upwards slowly, taking care to avoid any obstructions.
  • When finished, wash your hands thoroughly with hot water and soap.

Step 5 | Battery

Remove a single screw with a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

Remove the small plastic cover using tweezers.

  • Remove the eleven screws indicated in the photo using a Phillips head #000.

Disconnect the marked components from the motherboard using tweezers.

Remove the middle button and its associated connector from the motherboard using a pair of tweezers.

Use a metal spudger to carefully remove the mid frame and battery from the motherboard.

Remove the battery from the midframe using a spudger.

Step 13 | Rear Camera

Disconnect the front camera using tweezers.

The connector will release with an audible snap, similar to detaching a LEGO piece.
