Cleaning the microwave is recommended before using the iOpener to prevent gunk from adhering to it.
For carousel microwaves, ensure the plate spins freely to avoid overheating and burning the iOpener.
Do not overheat the iOpener above 100 ̊C (212 ̊F) as it may burst.
If the iOpener appears swollen or still feels extremely hot in the middle after heating, do not use it until it has cooled down further.
Hold the iOpener by a flat end only.
Be careful when handling hot iOner.
Hold only the end tabs, as the iOpener will be very hot.
The iOpener is now ready for use. To reheat, repeat these steps.
Opening your phone will compromise its waterproof seals.
Apply the heated iOpener to the rear panel for 2 minutes to loosen edge adhesives.
Alternative heat sources (hair dryer, heat gun, hot plate) may be used, but exercise caution to avoid overheat damage to OLED display and internal battery.
Apply a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass when it's hot.
Slide a picking tool along the bottom edge of the phone to separate the adhesive holding the rear glass in place.
Continue heating and cutting along the remaining three sides of the phone.
Use an opening pick to slice through any remaining adhesive.
Remove any remaining adhesive from the phone's chassis with tweezers.
