Gather all necessary tools.

• This is a good time to use the iOpener Kit and the 64-Bit Driver Kit if available.

Lay the iOpener pad across the phone, starting near the top due to the crack's location.

• Once heated, use a suction cup to carefully lift up on the screen.
• Gently insert an opening pick into the gap between the screen and the phone.
• Continue working around the edges by inserting more opening picks and applying heat as needed.

Wear gloves when handling thin LCDs, as they can become brittle and shatter.

• Apply heat to loosen the strong adhesive holding the LCD to the phone housing.
• Be patient and work slowly to separate the screen assembly from the phone.

The digitizer may detach from the LCD during removal; this is normal.

Beware of shattered LCD fragments, as they can be hazardous.

Flip the screen vertically to access the screen connector.

• Pop off the plastic cover using a plastic pry tool.
• Carefully remove the screen connector from the phone board.

Apply heat to loosen the buttons on the old assembly.

• Remove adhesive from the new assembly.
• Carefully align the buttons and adhere them.

Once adhered, they will not move easily.

• Connect the new screen assembly to the board.
• Install the plastic cover.

Test the phone before adhering the new screen into place.

Careful handling of the screen is required.

• Peel off the adhesive cover from the new screen assembly.
• Line up the screen carefully and ensure proper positioning.
• Gently press around the edges of the screen for a secure seal.
