Forgot password or pattern: risk of permanent data loss if not done correctly.
- Log in with Google account on another phone connected to a previously used WiFi network.
- Enter Backup PIN if created prior to this issue.
Step 2
Turn off your phone.
- Press and hold the Volume UP, Home, and Power keys simultaneously.
- Release the Power key when you see the Galaxy logo, but continue to hold the Volume Up and Home keys.
- Release all keys once the Android System Recovery screen appears.
Use the Volume Up/Down keys for navigation and the Power On key to confirm selections.
- Choose "wipe cache partition", then "Yes -- delete all user data", followed by "reboot system now".
