Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Display Replacement

Step 1 | Display

Remove the rear plastic cover by gently prying back on its edges using your fingernail or a pry tool.

  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Take care when handling the SIM card — risk of damage.

    Remove the SIM card and SD card from their respective slots.

Avoid damaging flat cables located under the lower edge and fragile display connectors under the upper edge.

  • Preheat display edges to 80°C (176°F).
  • Insert a flat opening tool between the display glass and frame, detaching the display.

Be cautious when handling the double-sided adhesive that secures the display — risk of breaking or damaging it.

  • Apply gentle heat to loosen the central adhesive if you only need to access the phone's interior.
  • Avoid applying excessive pressure or force near the pink strips, as they are part of the strong adhesive that can break the display.

Remove the black snap-on cap covering the display connector.

  • Be careful not to damage the connector pins.
  • Use a pry tool to unhook the display connector.

Step 6

Remove the display assembly.

  • Swap with a new display unit, ensuring all connectors are secure.
